NIB Insurance
NIB Insurance is part of nib health funds, one of the leading private health insurance provider in Australia which services over 600,000 people. nib health funds was formed in 1952 by employees of the BHP Steelworks in Newcastle, New South Wales and was first called the Newcastle Industrial Benefits Hospital Fund. In November 2007, nib demutualised and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, becoming the first private health insurer in Australia to do so. Until now, nib and NIB Insurance have their headquarters in Newcastle.

NIB Insurance and nib's spokesmodel is Paul Harragon, the rugby league luminary who led the Newcastle Knights to premiership victory in 1997.
